Once upon a time, there was a wise old man who lived on the edge of a small village. The villagers would often come to him seeking his advice on various matters, and he would always listen patiently and offer wise counsel.
One day, a young boy came to the wise old man and said, "I am so angry with my friend. He has done something to hurt me, and I want to get revenge. What should I do?"
The wise old man listened to the boy and then told him to fill a bag with feathers and then walk around the village, dropping a feather in every yard. The boy did as he was told and returned to the wise old man once he had emptied the bag of feathers.
"Now," said the wise old man, "go back and pick up all the feathers you dropped."
The boy looked at the wise old man in disbelief. "That's impossible!" he said. "The wind has blown the feathers everywhere. I could never find them all."
"That is the same with your anger," said the wise old man. "Once you release it, it will be blown around and scattered, and you will never be able to take it back. It is better to let go of your anger and forgive your friend, than to hold onto it and let it consume you."
The boy realized the truth in the wise old man's words and went to his friend to forgive him. From that day forward, the two boys were friends again, and the boy learned a valuable lesson about the importance of forgiveness and letting go of anger.
The moral of the story is that holding onto anger and seeking revenge will only bring us more pain and suffering. It is important to learn to forgive and let go of our negative emotions, so that we can live a happy and fulfilling life.
